This tournament is held each year in memory of Donnie Lewis. Donnie was a softball player well known throughout the Men's Open and Black American Circuit along with the COED division. He was well liked by all and this event each year brings back many memories of his friendship. A scholarship is awarded each year in his name from a portion of the proceeds from this event.

We are pleased to announce this year's Donnie Lewis Memorial Scholarship Recipient: Dejuan D. Friday
Dejuan D. Friday is a graduating senior from Central High School, King and Queen County. He is a participant in the Rappahanock Scholars program. He played one year of Junior Varsity football and three years of Varsity football in the positions of offensive tackle and offensive guard. He wrestled for CHS for three years and made regionals in 2014-15 school year. Juan is also in his third year of throwing shot for Track and Field. Juan has lettered in all three sports. Juan has been accepted to Old Dominion University and is awaiting a response from Mary Washington University. Juan's desire is to major in nursing and be a registered nurse. He would eventually like to work in operating rooms as a surgical nurse.
